Partner Network Hits the Road – First Stop Leeds

We’ve just returned from our first Partner event outside London. We welcomed 23 people from 18 partner organisations for some training, networking, golf and drinks at Oulton Hall in Leeds. One attendee even came along on his birthday – Happy Birthday to Ketan from Bloom Media.

This was also the first time we split our training into commercial and technical sessions so attendees could choose the topics that were of more benefit to them.  And it seemed to work! There were some very lively technical discussions from partners keen to understand more about the workings of our Cloud services. And over in the commercial room, we had a great chat about why our partners work with us and what customer objections we can help them overcome.

The product that generated the most interest was our soon to be launched Managed Cloud service (launching on the 26th May). Managed Cloud customers will be able to enjoy the flexibility of Cloud hosting with the added benefit of our industry leading SLA for certain operating systems and application infrastructures.

After the training sessions, we headed over to the putting green for some expert tuition from the resident golf pro, Ryan, followed by a putting competition. Congratulations to Jon and Tony from Optimise Internet! A few drinks in the bar rounded off what had been an excellent afternoon. Thank you to everyone who came for making it so great.

  1. Many thanks to all the organisers and Rackers!
Was a very informative day and learnt a lot about how we are going to evolve our infrastructure using RackConnect.
I also learned that I should never pick up another golf club for as long as I live (although I’m sure mine was faulty!)

See you at the next one.
