Rack teams up with Children’s Liver Disease Charity
Part of being part of the Rackspace family means helping out good causes in our local community and across the UK. Every year we pick a charity partner to raise funds for and this year we are delighted to announce we will be working with Children’s Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF). The charity is a great organisation which helps babies, young people, their families and adults diagnosed in childhood who are suffering or have suffered from liver disease. CLDF is a small charity with a turnover of just under £700k a year, so we hope that our involvement can make a real difference.
The partnership is part of our ‘Rack Gives Back’ programme, which supports charities and organisations in the form of grants, hosting services and our Rackers volunteering and raising money. Over the years we’ve done all sorts of different activities, from driving across Europe in a second-hand car to raffles, barbeques and not forgetting the three peaks challenge raising over £30k for Cancer Research (over 2010) whilst having quite a lot of fun in the process too.
We also do Movember every year complete with a moustache cat-walk challenge, which last year helped raise nearly £5,000 for prostate cancer. Supporting good causes through volunteering, fund raising and providing free services through ‘Rack Gives Back’ is a major part of what Rackspace is all about. We’ve worked with lots of different charities and community groups in the past and are always open to potential partnerships with new organisations.
