July’s Fanatic of the Month!

Winner – Gavino Cherchi

Gavino is our beloved Rackconnect Operations Engineer and he is famous around the business for his dedication to not only our Hybrid customers, but also the improvement of the product itself. He joined us from Italy less than a year ago and has made a massive impact on both the Cloud & Enterprise teams, wowing customers & Rackers alike with his in-depth technical knowledge and tireless work ethic. Here is just one of the multiple nominations he received for Fanatic of the Month:

Hi Rackers… I know as you read this you have a difficult job to do, picking one awesome Racker from another is not a job I envy. However, let me make it easy for you this month. Indisputably, Incontestably, Undeniably, it is Gavino. With no notice, Gavino was dropped into a no win situation with a customer who has had challenges over a number of months and ask to provide technical guidance, which he did willingly. Whilst balancing a challenging workload, Gavino worked past midnight throughout the week, testing, tweaking, and reporting back to the customer until they had a workable solution. He did this with attitude that this was his problem to own, and his to fix when the reality was that it was a global challenge that he has been battling through. Responsiveness, ownership, resourcefulness, expertise and transparency… this guy has got it all. I had never met Gavino before this incident, but I now know who I will turn to next time I have a problem! Thank you. Gavino.
