The only way is up

On Tuesday we announced our financial results for the quarter and we are pleased to say that we have achieved our goals and more for the second part of 2010.

In a financial climate which is very much still adverse for most companies, it is always pleasing to see some form of company growth. However, to be in a position to grow net revenue by 4.8% from Q1 and to pass the 108,000 customer-mark is a real joy and brings a genuine sense of achievement for everyone involved.

With new endeavours helping to account for a 78 per cent increase in cloud revenue in the last year and projects such as OpenStack receiving 35,000 web hits in its opening week alone it is shaping up to be a great year for the Rackspace Cloud.

We have also added a number of new recruits to help keep the ship running with 97 new Rackers joining since April 1st taking the total Rack count to 3,002. (That’s a lot of new national flags to put on the ceiling).

It is with great excitement and anticipation that we look at what the next few months hold for the company and what the next major project will be. With the public cloud coming to the UK  in November one thing is for sure we plan to end the year with a big bang!

Well done everyone!

  2. I’ve been waiting for this news for nearly a year so really pleased to hear a public announcement which confirms a cloud offering served from within the UK…

Will there be a migration process for UK customers previously using US based servers for both Cloud Site(s) and/or Cloud Server(s)??
